CIFD School of Floral Design

For 30 years, the Canadian Institute of Floral Design has set the standard in career-oriented educational training for students. Our intensive three week Professional Floral Design Program provides excellent hands-on instruction while delving into all aspects of the industry. Whether it’s learning basic design techniques, the proper method to handle and care for flowers, the intricacies of the wholesale flower trade, or the fundamentals of running a floral business, our experienced instructors help you gain the necessary skills to become successful.

Just ask one of our 4,000 graduates, or the professional retail florists and suppliers that acknowledge CIFD as the leading floral educator in Canada today. As part of our ongoing commitment to continuing floral education, we also offer a series of workshops and specialty classes, including Designing with Spring Flowers, Wedding & Christmas Designs, Silk Flower Design, European Design & Hand-Tied Bouquets, High Style Contemporary Design, and Ikebana. Held throughout the year – and taught by our engaging experts – topics change monthly and cover the seasons. These sessions are ideal for individuals passionate about flowers, seeking an interesting hobby, or looking to further their floral expertise.
